Hotfix Released - Slideshow Embeds Reenabled

Hello Members,

We have just released our hotfix which re-enables existing slideshows embedded in your web sites. All older photos have been reconverted to our new quality and sizes, and rotation issues are resolved. In addition, the upload mulfiple files dialog problem in Firefox has been fixed.

We appreciate all the positive feedback and improvement suggestions on the redesign. Many of your ideas we already have in our backlog and your feedback helps us prioritize. Others we've added to our list to consider as we improve the service. Please keep your feedback coming. We are listening.

Thank you for your comments. We are aware of the slideshow sort ordering and are looking into it. We have retained your custom sort information in the service even though right now it can't be altered. Regarding file types, Ovi Share is optimized for personal media sharing and we have now focused support on image, video, and audio file types only. For uploading other files please try our Ovi Files service. Lastly, we are working on an updated method of notification for planned downtime.

With all due respect, in the future I would go with the "If it ain't broken, don't fix it" motto when thinking about upgrades.
Your priority now (IMHO) should be reinstating the tools we previously had (multiple select/edit, etc.).

Still, the new layout is very nice, sharing is generally a breeze as well, so keep up the good work!

Oh, one more thing: my Google Maps thingy (in a geotagged photo) always shows the map as an urban map -street view?-, and not a satellite photo view. Is there any way to change that? Just curious.

I'm still really hoping that a) image previews are improved so they show up the same quality as before the upgrade even if the image is not standard photo shape, and b) we get back the option for the visitor to view the image full size!

Now I have to hotlink every time I post a pic on my blog. It's a lot of trouble for me and no advertisement for the service.

Oh, actually, the previews are showing up fine on this PC now.

Still, I really would like there to be an easy option for the visitor to see the image full size, as I have some tall narrow images. I can tell them to right click and select View Image, but that's not very handy.

Please add back the multiple selection option... its hard to share more than one photo. in adition it sends an e-mail for every photo. so its not real to share now many photos.
