Hello Share Members,
As part of our ongoing efforts to improve your Ovi experience, we have merged our login systems between Share on Ovi and Ovi.com. This conversion allows members to use one common Nokia user name and password to access multiple Ovi services.
While most Share accounts transitioned smoothly, a number of accounts had to be modified to accommodate the transition.
I Can't See My Media
First you may be able to log in but may not see your media. Due to the way we had to migrate users, you may end up with two
accounts: your ovi.com account and your share account with "-share"
added to it. This is most likely due to different or unverified contact
email or mobile number on the accounts. If you don't see your media it
is likely in the other account. First, try browsing to http://share.ovi.com/users/<oldusername>-share to confirm your public media is still available. Then use the instructions below to
access your other account. If this does not work please contact support
below.
Trouble Signing In
If you are unable to sign in with your usual user name and password please try these steps first:
1. Click the following link to reset your password: Nokia Account Password Reminder
- If you use your email address to reset your password your user name will be sent to you along with a link to reset your password.
- If you use a mobile number the SMS will only contain a link to reset your password.
- Note: If you don't remember which email or mobile number you had used, you can try different ones and the system will send the message to whichever is listed in the account.
- Note: If your email or mobile number was the same on both accounts then skip to step 5 below.
2. After the reset, sign in with your email address or mobile number (whichever you used to reset your account) and your newly created password.
3. Your current user name will appear at the top of the page. Note it may have changed.
4. You may sign using this user name and new password from this point on.
5. If these steps do not work please email directly to community.share@ovi.com. This is a special hotline for resolving these migration issues.
ShareOnline on My Mobile Phone Has Stopped Working
If your user name or password have changed you will need to reenter them in the ShareOnline client. To do this open ShareOnline from the applications menu, go to Settings, and then under Accounts update your account settings.
My User Name Changed and I Don't Like It
If your user name changed to "<username>-share" you can change it by following the instructions in our help topic. Please note that in this process all media in the desired account username will be deleted and replaced with the media from your old -share account.
Support Contact
If you are still having trouble accessing your account please email us at: community.share@ovi.com. We know that the above self-help steps are not working for some users and are standing by to help you.
We are sorry for the trouble this has caused some of you and we apologize for the length of downtime during this transition. Please be assured that we have worked hard to minimize the number of users affected.
Sincerely,
The Share on Ovi Team
P.S. Thank you for your feedback. We have updated this post to clarify the instructions. Also, we have disabled comments due to avoid confusion and to focus support inquiries on the email address above. We are rapidly resolving issues reported to that email. Thank you for your understanding.

Your Share on Ovi service is a joke. Shut it down and outsource it to Google or MSN, one of the big boys who really know how to run a web service. Stick to what you know, making phones. You're wasting your $ and destroying shareholder value by trying your hand at web services.

I just registered yesterday and I'm really liking this whole OVI service. The site is simple to use and pleases the eye with simple and colourful layout. One place to do it all. Keep up the good work!

I am very confused about the whole transition.
You sent me instructions that my new account name is "ecyrd-share", but I can't reset it because it has the same email address as my Nokia Account "ecyrd" - if I try to reset it, it will reset my account for "ecyrd", not "ecyrd-share".
However, it looks like my content from the old account was copied to the new account - but I can't understand why on earth you sent the email to me about the change in the first place? Do I now have to do something or not? Is there an "ecyrd-share" account still lying around somewhere, and I can't access it?

You see ! It really seems that everyone has got this very problem, and they don't even figure it out.

I had the same problem as Janne - I can't reach my old (and renamed) Share account because Share seems to have changed my password, and I can't reset it because it has the same email as my Nokia account.
Unfortunately, my old content was not moved to the Nokia account. What can I do about this?
Here's a suggestion: how about adding a link in the Nokia account that lets me move content from an old Share account directly to the Nokia account?
