As you can tell, we have been busy again with a whole new round of updates for Share on Ovi. This development cycle was focused on improving the user experience at Share.ovi.com. Here are the details:
Making Share more personal
Share on Ovi has always been about sharing pictures and videos with your friends, family, or the world. Now we’ve made some changes to Share to make it an even more personal experience - connecting you with your media and the latest additions from your contacts right off the bat. The new home page is simpler, less cluttered, and easier to navigate – and it gets you to what you care about the most right away.
Making Share simple to use
Creating channels to organize and share your media just got a lot simpler, and our upload page is now a lot easier to use. All of the power and detail is still there if you want it, but it’s now much more straight forward to just name a new channel, set it to public or private, and get your media into it quickly so that you can share it with your world.
Better, faster, and more reliable video
We’ve changed the way we handle videos so that they get posted faster and look even better than before. The new m4v format that we’re using for mobile video is a big step up in quality, and our new transcoding technology can handle even more file types so that most videos can be played back in the browser window.
Not only does this improve your new videos, but we’re going to go back to the beginning and upgrade all of the videos that have ever been posted. It may take us a few days, but we’ll get them all.

First and foremost, fantastic initiative!! The interface is really very easy to get a hold of and the overall navigation is awesome! Already signed up and looking forward for you people to publish a plugin to embed/share/comment straight into wordpress.ORG blogs.

Why are my Ovi contacts not the same as on Ovi Share? I don't want 2 contact DBs...

Great job. And videos playing in Flash as m4v. Beautiful. Now your quality is as good as Vimeo or a customised Blip player.
The only thing stopping me using this as my main video platform is the lack of direct .m4v URL for the m4v file.
I need that to podcast via my videoblog. Your m4v encoding is PERFECT for both podcasting and iTunes/iPod/iPhone subscriptions, but useless without a URL to the media file.
This is because neither Feedburner nor iTunes will recognise and enlose the current link to the mp4 file, because it's missing a ".m4v" at the end of the URL. If it had that, it'd work. If you just changed this one little thing... please... then I'd marry you ;)

Just in case that sounded like too much of a complaint about one thing, I just wanted to say again that I think you've done a fantastic job on the upgrade - congrats :D
